Q: Do you have any prior knowledge about the title, subject or author of your book?
A: From reading a biography on Lois Lowry I know that Lois Lowry was born in Honolulu and has three siblings. Her father was in the military which forced them to move to Pennsylvania and then to Japan. She got married and had four children of her own. Now she is livig a fulfilling life as a novelist.

Q: What do you picture the setting of your book to look like?
A: I picture Jonas' surroundings to be colorless and everyone to look the same. I think that when Jonas thought something happened to the apple he was playing with was a sign that the stirrings were going to begin.I picture everyone to look the same because that way no one could judge other people.

Q:Do you have any connctions from the book with your own life?
A:When the book described Asher talking really fast I pictured my little brother. My brother has a learning disability and is tounge tied. He talks really fast and you can't understand him. He also stutters alot so he scrambles words up. What he says is usually funny.

Q: How well have you managed your time?
A: My group and I have worked very well together in my opinion. We all did all of our work and all of us turned it in on time. We enjoyed working together and sharing our homework to learn more about what we all thought about the book. We weren't playing around at all and spent a majority of the time discussing our interesting book.

Who or what has been helpful to you? Hurtful? How?
A: My whole group has been helpful to me and no one in my group has been hurtful to me. I think we really make a great group because we work together very well and are constantly on task doing our best to manage our time well.

You have the correct format for literature responses. How did you know all the information about the author? Have you read another one of her books? Did you have any knowledge of "The Giver" before you started reading it?

I deleted Jennifer's page on accident when I was look at how she got the words to be bolded then I click save instead of cancel.So when I went to all pages bar, I wanted to delete the page that said... Angela changed Jennifer's page. I went back to check her page.. BAM! It was gone.. I got really freaked out. :o I didn't mean to delete her page. :(
